Pcinside has chose to divide the gaming dekstop pc's into 3 specific categories. Read the descriptions carefully and chose the category best suited to your wishes and budget. All game pc's have been assembled excluding external components such as keyboard, mouse and displays. Game pc's tend to age faster then these external components, therefore the previously mentioned components should be considered a more long term investment.
Budget Game Pc (€600)
In addition to a powerfull processor (cpu), a game pc especially needs graphical power. A good graphics card and a compatable power supply is therefore essential when creating a game pc. Our budget version can cost no more then 600 euro. This game pc is required to handle all current games (at resolution 1280x1024, 17'' and 19 '' ). Reminder: the budget does not refer to the quality of the components used, we just chose the slower versions ofl Premium Brand components. These are still Premium Brand components, however they offer much better value for money then the so called high end hardware.
Normal Game Pc (€850)
The "normal" game pc is viewed as one step up from the budget model. Again the processor (cpu) and the graphics card are important. However, this time we strive to play the newest games with the highest difficulty settings (also on bigger displays such as 22'' with 1680x1050 resolutions). Furthermore we invest some money in a decent case so that the pc is unlikely to overheat.
High-End Game Pc (€1400)
The High-End Game pc is one step up from the normal game pc. This computer is equiped with a sound card rather then the default onboard solutions. In addition this gaming machine is better suited for playing future games, its performance is higher then required for current applications/games. Furthermore this computer should be able to overclock well. Finally the pc can be used with larger displays without suffering a performance hit (e.g. 24 inch, 1900x1080 resolution).
